There is a technological uncertainty for engineering and construction projects at the Canadian Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) with regards to effectively digitize documentation, tracking progress of field work, and provide auditable quality control records, without impeding the workflow.
EWP is a like-for-like digital copy of paper-based Construction Work Packages(CWP). This is a process improvement and a means of tracking and storing information. At a high level the project goal is to keep the users in charge of building and tracking the construction work packages while enhancing productivity with technology organize and track work digitally. This will make it easier to plan, execute, and trend field work at the nuclear power plants easier and more efficiently then by paper. Success will represent along-overdue breakthrough for digitizing workflow for construction field.
